There should have been other posts before my Christmas one but I got really sidetracked (marathon watching Doctor Who and J-Dramas). Nearly finished up what I wanted to watch so my mind can break free of the trance. Merry Christmas folks!! Hope you all get a lot of anime and figure goodies!

Another rare post from me! Yay!
So Christmas is nearly upon us all ( and Hanukkah, Fesitvus, etc.). Which means: winter anime season soon! Yay!
Gamer ADHD???

Yes I have been watching Kimi ni Todoke aka “Mamiko Noto the show”.
A lack of posts (once again) because all of my professors decided to have tests within a one week span. But I also blame the lack of posts on: nothing really to talk about, my laziness, and my self proclaimed disease of “Gamer ADHD”. I’m pretty sure you all know the flurry of games that recently came out: Borderlands, Dragon Age, Atelier Annie, Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2 etc. Soon there’s also gonna be Left 4 Dead 2. Please Video Game Gods, have mercy on my poor college student budget!

Aion and I

So what’s causing me to lag horribly behind in both the anime world and real world? Aion. My comrades from the CoalitionLAN (mainly Popsikle) nostalgia tripped me into getting the game by saying a few of my CL buddies were playing. So naturally I went out and bought it and started playing. I must say it is a lot of fun though blowing shit up as a Sorcerer. I wish people will stop with all the WoW comparisons. I mean yeah a lot of things look like it was taken from WoW but really it feels more Warhammer-esque than WoW. If any of you readers decide that you want to pick up the game there’s a home for you on the Marchutan server with the legion Aether Junkies. Just send a message to you know who (me). Now there are some restrictions, mainly you have to be mature.
Here’s some pictures:
My new room

So it’s been a while since the last post. Semester has been a real pain in the but and whatnot. Decided to change my major to IT (I couldn’t stick with MIS anymore cause it…you know…doesn’t exist at my University anymore), so I have to deal with the pre-requisites for the College of Computer Science. I might be in school for another year but everything is fun. C Programming is a lot of fun, minus when the prof gives us an assignment he knows we can’t do just to fuck with us (Awesome professor though).
So my room. It’s about 15 times larger than the room I had at the dorms and slightly smaller than the room at my parents house. I’m using a twin bed just for space purposes (though that doesn’t seem to be the problem), and I hope to fill in the empty space you are about to see with a coffee table to do work and a lounge like chair to read my books and manga. Not really satisfied with the arrangement right now so I’ll probably change it. However I finally have a case to store my figures which is what I’m most proud of.

Final Boss: Summer classes defeated. New Game + 2 weeks of summer vacation

It’s over!!! It’s finally over!!! I was getting SO sick and tired of German grammar!!
Now that summer classes are over I am 10000% less stressed and moved into my new apartment. My room is very desolate right now with only my computer desk and my bed. I’m looking to put a display case or two for my figs, a bookcase for my games, manga, etc, and a dresser. The dresser is not really needed but it would be nice, mainly focusing on the display case and bookcase. Will post pictures once everything is set up.
Other than relaxing I haven’t been doing much. Been playing Fat Princess but my PS3 just pulled a “can’t read discs” problem so I need to send it in for repairs. If you want to play some Fat Princess with me send me a friend request on PSN and we’ll play. Can never have enough warriors to rescue our plump maiden.
Back home packing some stuff to bring to my place. I hope I can fit everything into my car.
Here’s my games and dvds I have packed so far:
I got still got my books, mangas, figures, and some clothes to pack. Just a little bit more to pack heh.
In other news I found a pleasant surprise when I came home yesterday. (more…)
I’m in despair!!! Summer courses have left me in despair!!!

An unfortunate unplanned gap of no posts for which I might have recovered from (or not). What it boils down to is: taking a language course in college for a summer session is a BAD idea, very bad. My schedule is full of German Monday-Friday/Saturday. Quizzes every Tuesday and Thursday are pretty killer. Not to mention I’m also taking a history class but that is pretty easy.
Things in life have been progressing whether it cares if I’m busy or not. One is my major got cut out by my University so I’m going to have to figure out a new major to flag. New anime season is out. Figs are still being released and are super expensive T_T. etc etc.
I’ve been able to watch a good amount of the anime season on Sundays when they almost all release and occasionally during the busy weekday. So far I’ve watched Bakemonogatari, Zan Zetsubou Sensei, Umi Monogatari, Spice and Wolf II, Umi Neko, Hidamari Full Colors 3 (Art Design Class), Moe baseball (Taisho Yakyuu), CANAAN, and Lesbian Paper Route (Kanamemo). So far Bakemonogatari is the best new show of the season by far. The characters draw you in pretty quickly and of course the 1st thing you notice in a SHAFT production is the art so that helps keep your attention. Literally translated as “Ghost Stories” there’s nothing really scary about the show…yet. Lots of interesting folklore and mysterious character backgrounds that hopefully will be explained. Oh and Senjogahara is super hawt.
Other than that I’ve been reading Zaregoto while waiting for class to start/ when bored since my friend lent it to me. A very interesting read. Good reads are welcomed and I wish it happened more often heh. I haven’t gotten to the meat and potatoes of the story yet but what I have read so far is good. Wish there were more Light Novels to read, waiting on Kara no Kyoukai to release (even though I’ve read the 1st volume about 4 times). I keep forgetting to pick up The Twelve Kingdoms, and I wish Bakemonogatari was out. If anyone has some suggestions of Light Novels to read please feel free to leave a comment or send me an e-mail.
Well that’s about it, a very disorganized post but just posting to keep things going and reminding me somewhere in the back of my head that this blog does exist.
On another note I want to throw out a neat networking tool I heard about from a little bird (National Public Radio): Aardvark a bit of a tough one to explain but it basically goes like this: Have a Question? Aardvark searches your friends databases to see if they or any of their friends have compatible interests and are able to answer the question. Questions can be answered in about 5 minutes or less. Another interesting networking site that sometimes gets answers resolved better than Google. Pretty new and interesting, give it a try.
Well that’s all for now folks. Here’s hoping I don’t try to extend the length of my neck somehow.
Ristorante Paradiso 2
Posted in Anime, Life, tagged Claudio, Episode 2, FFXI, Nicoletta, Ristorante Paradiso on June 8, 2009| Leave a Comment »
Well things are moving very…slowly. I have been working almost everyday for the past 3 weeks so haven’t had too much time. Tried writing a few things but being interrupted every 5 minutes or so started to piss me off. When I get off work though it’s usually straight to FFXI or watching any new anime episodes. Trying to get the troublesome extra time consuming stuff out of the way in FF so when the semester starts up I can play semi-leisurely.
Anyways on to the main topic at hand: Ristorante Paradiso 2.
Ristorante 1 was of course an intro to the series introducing the cast, setting, story, and mood. In Ristorante 2 Nicoletta is presented a problem that was sort of brought up in the 1st episode: What is she gonna do now that she is in Rome?
The intro begins in the restaurant with a person asking what almost everyone would ask:
This is an Old Man Megane Waiter Cafe!!! But it’s actually just a peculiar restaurant. After the intro we see everyone eating dinner while Nicoletta asks about the pictures on the wall which show the restaurants history and they even explain how much the owner cares about his wife (Nicolettas mother). Feeling a bit sour towards her mother how she could be so happy and loved after leaving her behind. I wouldn’t classify this as curse bearing grudge but it’s more like resentment. Pan out to her apartment where she is talking on the phone with her grandmother about her predicament and some of her love problems (whether she really likes him or not). At the end of the conversation she decides that she has to do something like a get a job while she is in Rome.
Strolling around looking for a job….and I’m not sure if it’s the employment office or just another place that was hiring (probably the later) but it was closed. Disappointed she continues on walking. In the same area we have Luciano sitting with his grandson Francesco.

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted. Well, whatever your definition of “a long while” happens to be. I was reading a friend of mine’s blog, (I’ll have to keep reading that) and it reminded me that this was a great way to put off studying. Seeing as how I will be up all night anyways, taking a few minutes to procrastinate never hurt anyone, right? Well.. maybe.
